Keep Your Skills Current
National units of competency do not expire. LTT and many employers use refresher cycles to maintain current evidence that workers can perform hazardous tasks safely. LTT offers refresher activity for listed competency holders throughout the ACT and Southern NSW.

Practical reassessment in ACT & Southern NSW
Credentials and Currency
National Credential
A Statement of Attainment records national units achieved. The credential itself is not simply valid for three years.
Current Unit Holders
Refresher activity checks current skills and provides refresher evidence or a record. It does not automatically issue a duplicate national outcome.
Older Unit Holders
An older or non-equivalent unit may require RPL, gap training and assessment against the current unit. A new Statement of Attainment is issued only if the learner is assessed as competent.

How Refresher Training Works
- 1
Contact us
Call or email to tell us which competency you need to renew and your preferred location (our facility or yours).
- 2
Credential review
We review your existing Statement of Attainment to confirm whether you hold the current unit or an older or non-equivalent unit.
- 3
Choose the correct pathway
Current unit holders complete the appropriate currency activity. Other learners may need RPL, gap training and assessment against the current unit.
- 4
Receive the correct record
Current unit holders receive refresher evidence or a record. A new national Statement of Attainment is issued only when a current unit is newly achieved through assessment.
